This is an unfinished project. A very ambitious one, that was ended by ego clash in flamboyant manner.
It involved a group of very talented artists (Theodore Fivel, Rita Ackermann, Agathe Snow, Michael Portnoy, Eleonora Meoni and Anne Apparu) and had as a purpose to depict a society that followed different rules than the one we live in. I wrote it as a way to put into images an idea I had of things just being very different.
The setting was a "Concrete Castle", designed by my partner Theodore Fivel. It was a monolithic structure filled with beautiful architectural furniture, and, aside from that, an extremely minimal environment.
The project was partially funded by "Le Confort Moderne", an art foundation in Poitiers, France. We shot the film there, and post-production was going to be handled by me in our offices in France. We were then invited, via one of the participants in the project, Rita Ackermann, to show some composited shots at Art Basel Miami. She would paint some of the storyboard images on large concrete blocks, mimicking the shape of the Castle, and I would create some of the shots that we showed on small DVD players next to the blocks.
